Maybe some explanation is needed here.
The ‘Age of Quarrel’ LP never really did fer me what the demo did. As the band got bigger and the crowds got more violent, the band seemed to betray much of what punk meant to me. Skinhead morons took songs like World Peace to mean that it can never be achieved, so let’s go beat people up, where I took it to mean ‘be realistic’. Unfortunately, the former attitude took precedence at shows and fights and close-mindedness prevailed.
Funny how adding a second guitar player and touring with Motorhead appealed to a more metal crowd, while the old skinhead fans were kicking the muthafukking SHIT outta anyone with long hair in the pit…it got nasty…and the band never really rose above it. It probably lead to many of the internal problems in the band as well…that shitty vibe tends to perpetuate itself, ya know?...
But, I digress. What you hear in THIS demo is an amazing (4 piece) band playing great Bad Brains influenced hardcore. Under production actually HELPS this one! Nearly 25 years after buying this from John Joseph over a slice of St. Marks Pizza (R.I.P.), and free from the crowds and the politics of close-mindedness they helped create in the scene, you’ll be able to hear the ferocity of ‘Age of Quarrel’ without all the baggage, or fear of getting a boot in yer teeth.

засилих се с много ентусиазъм към тая тема, пък не съм сигурна какво да напиша;
the age of quarrel ми е доста значим албум (и като оформяне на музикален вкус, и принципно)
